Mass Spectrometry (MS) is a major technique in most of the proteomics platforms. All mass spectrometry techniques require high quality calibration mixtures with respect to their ionization mode, ionization technique and type of analyzers irrespective of the mass spectrometer used. In most of the cases, for both positive and negative mode ionizations the researchers require different calibration mixture to acquire better ionization, tuning, high accurate mass and sensitivity. The soft ionization techniques such as ESI (Electrospray Ionization) and MALDI (Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization) require calibration mixtures. Also, different calibration mixtures are required for variety of MS analyzers such as triple quadrupole (QQQ), ion trap/orbitrap and TOF (time of flight). Similarly, another major product required in mass spectrometry analysis is MALDI matrices. Alfa Aesar offers calibration mixture, protein, peptide mass spectrometry standards and MALDI matrices.

  • 2,5-Dihydroxybenzoic acid, Ultrapure MALDI Matrix
  • 2-Mercaptobenzothiazole, Ultrapure MALDI Matrix
  • 3-Hydroxypicolinic Acid, Ultrapure MALDI Matrix
  • Acetylated Peptide Certified Mass Spec Standard Mixture I, 500pmol each peptide per vial
  • alpha-Cyano-4-hydroxycinnamic acid, Ultrapure MALDI Matrix
  • Carcinoembryonic Antigen CGM2 (176-186), Certified Mass Spec Grade, 500pmol per vial
  • Hemoglobin Digest Standard, Certified Mass Spec Grade
  • MALDI Certified Mass Spec Calibration Standard, 5400pmol total peptide per vial
This standard is contains a 6 peptide mixture designed to calibrate MALDI TOF/TOF mass spectrometers and provides maximum accuracy for fine-tuning instruments.
  • Non-ionic Acid Labile Surfactant I (NALS I), Certified Mass Spec Grade
At neutral pH, Nonionic Acid Labile Surfactant I acts as a strong surfactant for use in sample preparation, protein solubilization, and cell lysis protocols. It is an alternative to Tween 20, Triton X-100 and other commonly used nonionic detergents used in protein analysis. When experimental solutions are adjusted to a pH of 2.5 - 3 with trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) and incubated for 30 minutes, the acid labile surfactant is fully cleaved into small organic molecules that do not exhibit surfactant activity or interfere with mass spectrometry analysis.
  • Phosphorylase B, Certified Mass Spec Grade
  • Sulfated Peptide Certified Mass Spec Standard Mixture I, 500pmol each peptide per vial
